  • established a diversity and social inclusion committee (DISC) to oversee the development of diversity initiatives, including the creation of a three-year diversity plan and departmental subcommittees
  • recently conducted an in-house diversity survey to solicit feedback for new initiatives and benchmark current programs against industry leaders
  • appointed a Coordinator for Pride Health in 2006 who is responsible for educating staff on current LGBT health and employment issues
  • also tasked 25 employees with the responsibility of organizing diversity training sessions for their co-workers and employs a full-time Diversity Coordinator to help facilitate training
  • provides cultural competence training to increase awareness among employees and support the long term goal of creating an inclusive workplace
  • employs a Cultural Health Interpretation Services Consultant to provide language assistance to patients
