At Telus, nearly 3,000 women employees participate in "Connections", an in-house networking group for women that operates across Canada. Through this initiative, employees learn about career development and mentoring opportunities, attend networking events, and receive guidance from other women employees at different stages in their careers.
The group also provides a formal leadership-in-the-workplace training program for women employees, with nearly one thousand employees having enrolled. The Connections program also hosts seminars on how to balance career and family needs, and publishes a monthly newsletter to communicate career development activities, educational resources and upcoming networking opportunities for women employees.
"Connections - the TELUS women's network - provides thousands of women across our company with quality networking, leadership and community outreach opportunities."
