Some of the reasons why Xerox Canada Inc. was selected as one of Canada's Best Diversity Employers 2013:
  • established a diversity council and appointed diversity champions who meet on a regular basis to discuss issues of diversity and inclusion
  • created a diversity and inclusion website to educate employees on a wide range of topics including the business case for diversity, issues of gender and culture, Aboriginal relations, employment equity, and the inter-generational workforce
  • offers a variety of diversity-related training for employees on topics such as bias-free selection training
  • maintains several employee resource groups including the women's alliance, black caucus group, and "Galaxe", for gay and lesbian employees, and recently created a formal mentoring program with a focus on pairing mentors and mentees of various diverse backgrounds
  • works with several community organizations to build awareness of diversity and inclusion including the Canadian Women's Foundation, Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council, Pride@Work Canada and the Rainbow Employment Network of Toronto (RENT)
