is currently adding new hybrid vehicles to its vehicle fleet with plans to purchase more fuel efficient vehicles
new head office building constructed with energy efficient time-controlled lighting, state-of-the-art heating, ventilation and air conditioning and landscaping features natural planting and moisture sensor sprinkler system that operates only when required
the company's summer students organized a three-day environmental campaign last year for all employees to inspire environmental initiatives at work and home -- the event featured educational kiosks, hybrid car demonstrations and test drives, and interactive games with prizes
employees can register on the company's newly created in-house "Smart Commute" website to create a profile and search for available car pool matches from across the company
the company encourages the formation of employee 'green-teams' from across the company who are welcome to submit ideas for projects within their particular areas -- with winning ideas bestowed bragging rights as the "Green Neighbour Challenge Winners"
the company has maintained a recycling program for the past 26 years -- recycling and reusing more than 900 tonnes of materials last year and has implemented electronic billing and claims payment systems, electronic payroll as well as as accepting only electronic resumes from its next generation of employees
