Maple Trade Finance provides work placements to new Canadians enrolled in the Work in Nova Scotia (WINS) bridging program, managed by the the Halifax-based Metropolitan Immigrant Settlement Association (MISA). Over the course of three-months, the company provided a candidate from Congo a work placement in the credit department.
Maple Trade also supports MISA's English in the Workplace program, which helps new Canadian employees develop their workplace language and communication skills. Employers also have the option of hosting small group classes or having teachers work with individuals as required.
