  • is an inaugural member of Hire Immigrants Ottawa's Employer Council of Champions, a team of employers dedicated to promoting the idea of hiring immigrants within their firms and developing plans to better integrate immigrants into the workforce
  • posts recruitment ads with numerous organizations that provide assistance to new Canadian jobseekers

 Promoting Immigrant Employment

MDS Nordion is an inaugural member of Hire Immigrants Ottawa's Employer Council of Champions, a team of employers dedicated to promoting the idea of hiring immigrants within their firms. Hire Immigrants Ottawa is a community-based campaign made up of employers, immigrant settlement and employment agencies and other groups who aim to create more employment opportunities for immigrant jobseekers.

 Advising Internationally-Trained Jobseekers

Recruiters at MDS Nordion reach out to immigrant jobseekers by providing their job postings to LASI World Skills, a non-profit organization that provides job search assistance to new Canadian jobseekers. LASI World Skills makes these job postings available to affiliated local agencies that also assist new Canadians, such as the Catholic Immigration Centre and Immigrant Women Services Ottawa.
