  • maintains an in-house employee resource group called "MOSAIC" to provide support to visible minorities and new Canadians -- new hires that are immigrants are also paired with a mentor from the group
  • recently released a report entitled "Immigrant Labour Market Outcomes in Canada" to raise awareness about the employment challenges faced by Canadian immigrants
  • partners with the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC), ACCES Employment, and the Canadian Immigration Integration Program (CIIP), to provide newcomers with internships and mentoring opportunities
  • works with a third-party credential assessment service, the World Education Services, to review foreign credentials and education
  • also participates in several language training programs including the "Talk English Cafe" e-learning initiative
  • in partnership with Career Bridge, offers newcomers paid internship opportunities to help them gain work experience -- is also a partner of the Career Bridge Associate Host Program, which offers partial funding to RBC clients who utilize the Career Bridge program to provide new Canadians with internship opportunities
  • the bank's recruitment site includes a designated section for new Canadian job-seekers to ensure awareness of available resources such as internship opportunities and tips to prepare for interviews
