At the Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC), nearly 40 employee mentors provide occupation-specific mentorships to new Canadian jobseekers. The organization has mentored over 50 internationally-educated professionals to date, since joining the Mentoring Partnership in 2007.
Mentors at TCHC are comprised of senior and second-level management staff. Mentorships at TCHC take place during work hours, and some mentees are given the opportunity to job shadow their mentors during the workday. More than half of their mentees found employment once their mentorships were complete.
