Manages "Excellence Cash" spot bonus program, which allows up to 10% of salary to be awarded to individuals or teams for significant contribution to a major value creating event or project. The program currently has a budget of $3 million. Suncor sponsors its own in-house employee satisfaction survey. "SunCares Employee Grants Program", through which employees may apply for grants on behalf of the organizations they are involved in. The program covers the following areas: volunteering grant for employees who volunteer over 48 hours at a non-profit organization, fundraising, post-secondary matching grant, milestone award grant (employees may choose to take the value of their service award and donate to charity of their choice, bereavement grant, leadership grant humanitarian grant (in response to natural disasters). The company also manages its own charitable foundation, the "Suncor Energy Foundation", established in 1998. Since its inception in 1998, the Foundation has invested more than $84 million in charitable organizations across Canada.
