Employer Background

Trican Well Service Ltd. is a pressure pumping supplier of specialized products, equipment and technology for oil and gas producers. The publicly-traded company provides drilling, well completion and production management services through its two primary business divisions. Through its Well Services division, the company provides deep coiled tubing, nitrogen and fracturing services to oil and gas producers. Through its Production Service division, Trican provides acidizing, coiled tubing and industrial services to increase production from existing oil and gas wells.

In addition to working in North America, Trican operates in Russia and Kazakhstan under the name Newco Well Service, providing fracturing and cementing services in western Siberia. Trican recently acquired the geological and engineering services company, CBM Solutions Inc., which has enhanced its gas pumping service technology across operations in western Canada and the USA. Last year, the company continued to expand through the acquisition of Texas-based Liberty Pressure Pumping LP, which provides specialized services used in the development and completion of oil and gas wells. In addition, the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary officially opened the new Trican Petroleum Engineering Laboratory, which was made possible through a generous donation from the company.
