- created the "Excel Internship" program, which is a year-long, paid mentor-based program for new university graduates seeking work experience – at the beginning of the term, interns are brought together for three days of intensive training conducted by senior members where they learn the basics of market research, writing, and how various departments operate within the company
- at work, the company offers employees a fun place to work, with an employee lounge featuring foosball, television, video games, table hockey, table tennis, and a pool table
- offers a buddy program where a mentor meets with a new hire during his or her first week, with follow-up meetings throughout the subsequent three months – in a unique initiative, the company also provides Starbucks cards to all mentors so they can take out new hires and have meetings in a comfortable setting
