This role is responsible for process clearing related transactions to Owner accounts adhering to the rules set out by the Canadian Payments Association.This position embraces the "Be Libro" statements by ensuring our Owners continued satisfaction through timely and efficient loan disbursements and security registration. A lead worker, proficient in performing their assigned duties at a high level of independence under minimal supervision. - Could this be you?
** Part Time hours range from 18 to 37.5 depending on department needs****This Temporary Assignment will run from May 2019 to December 31 2019****The location for this position is London or Essex Administration ** The Epic Human we are looking for will:
Responsible for the processing of clearing items in an efficient and accurate manner
Process returns on accounts as requested
Adhere to CPA standards and rules
Responsible for ensuring g/l's are balanced
Follow up on outstanding clearing items or clearing errors
Prepare problem statements
Process incoming and outgoing wires
Prepare proper storage of clearing work on a monthly basisRisk Management
Monitor transactions and be alert for suspicious activity (fraud, kiting, etc.) and communicate issues to appropriate staff
Adhere to time lines for returns in order to ensure recourse is not lost on clearing items
Respond to branch requests pertaining to questions regarding clearing items
Provide branch staff with copies of clearing items as requested
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes for the position of Clearing AdministratorEducation & Experience:
A minimum of a high school education with some business courses or related studies. 1-3 years of experience.
Strong service quality experience with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Experience in customer service.
Demonstrates the ability to work independently, prioritize daily duties, and handle branch issues and concerns
Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Knowledge of personal computer applications with the ability to work at an intermediate level in Relationship Manager and at an advanced level in Teller Manager of our Ovation system
Ability to adhere to risk management and credit union policies
Ability to understand and learn various debit/credit entries and reconcile GL's
Actively participating in achieving team goals and targets with an emphasis on teamwork and building strong alliances with staff of Libro Credit Union
