Night Captain - Full Time
Fairmont Château Laurier is the iconic hotel of Ottawa - Canada’s capital city. A symbol of timeless elegance, the hotel combines a distinctive blend of historic charm and modern efficiencies.
Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Concierge team and Night Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
- Delivery of Food and Beverage orders
- Co-ordinate and work with Front Office and Housekeeping Departments
- Work with the overnight Manager on duty
- Luggage handling
- Delivery of guest folios
- Pick-up laundry and doorknob menus
- Meet all guest needs in a pleasant, efficient and professional manner
- Duties include: Shoeshine, In-Room Dining orders and Bell Services
Previous guest service and food & beverage experience required
Excellent communication skills in both official languages required
Proven guest service excellence
Smart Serve Certification required
Must be Bilingual (English and French)
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent bending and lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
Visa Requirements: Must be eligible to work in Canada
