Applications are currently being accepted for a Part Time Registered Practical Nurse position for the
Acute Care department at the Durham site of the South Bruce Grey Health Centre.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
 Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
 Heart & Stroke BCLS Certification is required before start or within 6 months
 Practices competently to their full scope of practice within legislated standards as set by the college
of nurses
 Asepsis course and Medication certification and ability to practice
 IV course registered or willingness to attain asap
 Previous experience in a Medical/surgical environment preferred
 Strong computer skills for power chart and order entry
 Rotating shifts and weekend availability
 Excellent organizational and patient assessment skills
 Excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, families and other healthcare
professionals
 Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and interpersonal skills
 Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality
 Commitment to continuing education and professional development
